Multi-language is introduced in v 1.A.4 released 13-Oct-2016 and supported by all subsequent versions. Version history and downloads Multilanguage (overview) Multilanguage in details (coming soon) The Multi-language visualization system is supported by 5 files: globaltextlist.txt - Standard Screen Text. messagesml.txt - Warnings and Alerts. parametersml.txt - Configuration system content. diagnosticml.txt - Diagnostic List Notes. languages.txt - Dynamic visualization content. This files are located in VISU folder on EATON Display or Boot flash drive in the root. The important things to know and to do when you update the language files: Every Eaton Display have it own set of language files. This files are not sharable between displays installed on the same truck. In case of the Language files upgrade, we have to re-flash every display on the truck separately. The Language files have different content for different Software versions (is not fully compatible). For example - You can use files from v.1.c.0 for v.1.c.1 but is a chance to lost some phrases which was added or modified in the software between the versions releases. Starting from v.1.c.1 build 6 U (relised 11 Jan 2018) the Eaton have suport of UNICODE simbols (À, Ñ, í and more). The files from v.1.c.1 build 6 (16-May-2017) do not support UNICODE and not compatible with v.1.c.1 build 6 U . We have to re-flash ONLY the EATON display(s). !!! Do not re-flash the IFM's !!! Make sure the version of software in the Eaton Display and on the Boot flash drive is the same. If version are not correspond, the some settings on the screens Screen Settings, General Configuration, Miscellaneous calibration can be lost and will need to be re-configured ( remember - any incorrect actions or package modifications, performed during the display re-flashing, can lead to the reset of the display parameters ). The All others ladder calibration parameters and Body protection saved in the IFM memory and can't be compromised by any wrong action during the Eaton display re-flashing.
