Description

Vehicle Data Recorders (VDR) are devices installed in motor vehicles (car, bus, truck, tractor, ect.) to record engine, suspension and occupant technical vehicle information while the vehicle is on, and for a brief period before, during, and after a triggering event such as a crash has occurred. The data can be easily extracted in common formats and  can be used for repair, regular maintenance or accident analysis. Sometimes referred to as a “black-box”,  the data and event records obtained from the VDR are critical for analyzing and reconstructing accidents.
